What is Interior
Redesign?
 Interior
redesign is a decorating process that uses the
furniture, artwork and accessories that you already
own. It is a concept that has been featured on
HGTV’s FreeStyle and Design Remix television shows.
Interior Redesigns can typically be accomplished in
one day and takes into account your “story” and
lifestyle resulting in peaceful and beautiful rooms
that you will love. You can get a stylish new look
for your home in one day, without the wait and
expense of traditional interior design.

What can I expect to happen when I call Remix
Redesign?
We will first schedule a 90-minute consultation
appointment that costs $75. This consultation is an
opportunity for me to find out what you like and
don’t like about your room; what furniture, artwork
and accessories you treasure; and most importantly
find out who uses the space and for what purpose. At
the end of the consultation, we will give you the
quote for redesigning your room(s) and will schedule
an appointment to come back to do the redesign.
Depending on the number and size of rooms being
redesigned it can take half a day to a full day for
the redesign. We will work on the redesign while you
are at work or at play and look forward to seeing
your reaction at your very own “reveal” moment!

What if I don't like the room once you have
finished?
Remix Redesign’s focus is on using what you already
own, and adding our decorating expertise to give you
a beautiful, stylish room with all the function that
you require. Since we spend time with you in the
consultation learning about you and your home, it is
a rare occurrence that our work would not exceed
your expectations! However, should this occur, we
will make adjustments to ensure your satisfaction.

What is staging, and how does it help sell the
house?
Staging isn’t just about decluttering,
depersonalizing and cleaning the house, nor is it
decorating that distracts from the house itself.
Staging is preparing the home to showcase its best
features in a way that speaks to the target buyer
and invites them to live their dream life by buying
your house. A properly staged home should be one
that a buyer can move into and start living right
away without worries of needing to make “updates”.
Staged homes typically sell faster and bring higher
returns to the sellers.

What is the difference between staging and interior
redesign?
In the staging process, we decorate the home to
appeal to the target buyer of the home and do not
take into account the personality and likes of the
current homeowner. Furniture is arranged to show off
the best features of the house itself, creating a
feeling of spaciousness and the “fantasy factor”
that helps buyers envision your house as their
potential dream home. In staging, we are selling
your “house” not your “home”.
Interior redesign focuses on telling the story of
the people that currently live in the home by
incorporating their own treasures. While redesign
takes into account the architectural focal points of
the room, furniture arrangement is also based on how
it will best function for how the space is used.
Interior redesign focuses on giving a polished,
pulled together look with what you already own.

consultation for $150. This front curb to back
fence consultation will give you tips and ideas
on how to showcase your house’s best features.
You can choose to follow our recommendations
yourself, or hire us to provide staging services
to create the “fantasy factor” that will entice
buyers!

lamps, artwork and accessories for your home.
Shopping services are $50 per hour.
